Hydraulic Steering

Hydraulic SteeringThe hydraulic steering are grease lubricated and designed with simple, powerful and reliable techniques for steer-to-heading. The speed and strength exhibited by the hydraulic steerings offer a good value package for power and trouble-free performance. The hydraulic steerings are developed and designed as per state-of-the-art technology meeting the requirements on power transmissions and in compliance with current regulations. They are based on the principle of rack rod that acts on a gear wheel to the axis of which the wheels are coupled.

Working of Hydraulic Steering

Hydraulic stering used in vehicles waork on the principle of hydraulic mechanism. Hydraulics only assist in the steering. They provide a partial amount of force to turn the wheels. Here the hydraulic fluid is pumped from a cylinder into the steering rods. The fluid's force in this chamber turns the steering wheels. Full hydro means the vehicle is completely powered by hydraulics and there are no ohter methods to steer the vehicle.

Hydraulic Steering Parts

There are several parts in a hydraulic steering units. The reservoir is the main part where the fluid is stored. It stores the oil that is pumped into the cylinder, which is connected to the steering unit. The wheels are thus pushed left or right. It is the mechanism of the pump which forces the fluid into the cylinder arm. The fluid is pumped from the reservoir through a hose line and into the arm. There is the metering valve that displays how much fluid to pump and where to pump it to. In other words , it can be considered as the brains of the unit. It is this which turns the steering movement into actual fluid movement, thereby turning the steering frame.
