Winch is a stationary motor-driven or hand-powered machine that is used for hoisting or hauling, having a drum around which is wound a rope or chain attached to the load being moved. A snatch strap or any other other elastic device should not be used with a winch. Good equipment should be used and damaged winch cable should be discarded. The hydraulic winch does not require the extra battery and isolator that is compulsory in an electric winch.
